Rudi Duncan-Bosu

Rudi joined Atelier Ten in 1996 to gain practical experience for his sandwich degree. He was introduced to Atelier Ten low energy principles first labyrinth structure for de-coupled cooling and heating for the Earth Centre in Doncaster. The energy modelling won Rudi the CIBSE standard prize and fueled his enthusiasm to rejoin Atelier Ten.

After graduating from the University of Hertfordshire Rudi returned to Atelier Ten and completed a wide range of projects including Walsall Bus Station, Jubilee School, Collis Primary School and 11 Brick Street private residence in Mayfair. The Baltic Flour Mills project enabled Rudy to develop his site based experience in Gateshead where we was responsible for co-ordinating the services system into the complex Gallery spaces and setting to work of the CHP, absorption cooling and displacement ventilation systems.

With Atelier Ten Rudi has gained a wealth of experience on Gallery projects, Grand Rapids Art Museum, Virginia, USA and Cafesjian Art Museum, Armenia; now an Associate Director at Atelier Ten Rudi has completed the award winning Davies Alpine House at The Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, which utilised a labyrinth structure and is also working on a new Botanical Art Gallery at The Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew that utilities displacement ventilation and ground source heat pumps.
