Strategy

Uniting the disparate departments within the College, the Pharmacy Research Building will consist of laboratories and support spaces, offices, graduate student work areas, and a central atrium.

Atelier Ten worked closely with the architects to optimize the building envelope to reduce energy loads, meeting the State’s energy and LEED requirements. With water efficiency a major driver in Utah, Atelier Ten also helped the team develop a water budget which enables the building to use about 79% less domestic water than a comparable building. Finally, Atelier Ten provided an energy model in support of obtaining financial assistance for new construction design costs, through the Rocky Mountain Power Utility Incentive Program.
