Located in a non-LEED certified building, this project posed many challenges which Atelier Ten addressed to still achieve a high LEED rating. The resulting LEED-CI 2.0 Gold fit-out achieves over 45% water reduction, uses EnergyStar rated equipment and appliances for almost 97% of all power needs, and procures 100% of its electricity from Green-E Certified renewable power.

Strategy
Atelier Ten helped Viking Global’s new office space earn 34 points under USGBC’s LEED rating system for commercial interiors. Designed for optimal thermal and visual comfort for all occupants, the office layout ensures that the majority of work spaces have views to the outdoors and controllability over temperature and individual task lighting. Water savings are achieved through the installation of low-flow and low-flush fixtures. Bicycle storage and proximity to mass transit encourage the use of alternative transportation.
